ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s National People’s Power said a curfew declared overnight is expected to be to maintain the peace.
“We expect that the curfew imposed during vote counting is only for the purpose of maintaining public peace, and ask the security force to maintain the maximum peaceful conditions in the post election period, and also request maximum public co-operation,” a statement said.
