ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 290.75/80 to the US dollar in Tuesday early trade slightly weaker from Monday’s close of 290.70/80, dealers said, while bond yields were broadly steady.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 9.40/52 percent, from 9.40/50 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 was quoted at 9.85/90 percent, down from 9.90/10.00 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 10.15/20 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2028 was quoted at 10.25/30 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 10.35/40 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted at 10.65/75 percent, down from 10.70/80 percent.
The central bank announced that 185 billion rupees of treasury bills are to be auctioned on Wednesday.
In equities, the All Share Price Index was down 0.63 percent or 91.27 points, at 14,409.
The more liquid S&P SL20 was down 0.34 percent, or 14.93 points, at 4,334.
