ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee appreciated to open at 297.25/75 to the US dollar on Monday, from 298.70/299.00 a day earlier, while bond yields were up dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2027 was quoted at 11.60/70 percent, up from 11.40/55 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 11.80/90 percent, up from 11.75/85 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.06.2029 was quoted at 11.90/12.00 percent, from 11.90/12.05 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 12.00/20 percent, up 11.90/12.05 percent.
In equities, Colombo’s All Share Price Index opened 0.87 percent, or 102.87 points higher at 11,876, while the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks opened up 1.19 percent or 40.49 points higher at 3,450.
