This decision was made by the Executive Committee of SLC, recognizing the team’s impressive performances in recent tours against India, England, and New Zealand, where Jayasuriya served as the interim head coach.
Jayasuriya’s appointment officially began on October 1, 2024, and he will continue in this role until March 31, 2026. The committee expressed confidence in Jayasuriya’s ability to lead the team to further successes in the coming years.
