Sri Lanka stocks close on mixed note, ASPI up, S&P SL20 down

ECONOMYNEXT – The Colombo Stock Exchange ended on a mixed note on Tuesday, data on its site showed.

The broader All Share Index closed up 0.09 percent, or 11.47 points, at 12,257; while the more liquid S&P SL20 Index closed down 0.20 percent, or 7.40 points, at 3,607.

Turnover was 1.8 billion.

Top turnover generators were John Keells Holdings (down at 196.50), Citrus Leisure (down at 4.50), Dialog Axiata (up at 10.30), Commercial Bank (flat at 108.00), and Hela Apparel (up at 7.10).

Crossings were recorded on JKH and Dialog.

There was a net foreign inflow of 139 million rupees.

Foreign buying was seen in JKH, Commercial Bank, Sampath Bank (up at 82.20), Citrus Leisure, LOLC (down at 421.00), and Windforce (up at 20.30).

Foreign selling was seen in Dialog, Vallibel Finance (up at 43.00), Waskaduwa Beach (up at 2.20), Agarapatana Plantations (flat at 9.40), L B Finance (up at 70.20), Ceylon Cold Stores (down at 60.70).
