The Colombo High Court issued an arrest warrant today (October 23) for former Minister Johnston Fernando for failing to appear in court regarding a case against him.
He is accused of involving Sathosa employees in election work between 2010 and 2014.
The warrant was issued because he did not attend court to address the removal of several Sathosa employees from their official duties and their use for external activities.
The court has ordered that Fernando be taken into custody immediately and presented before the court.
